The kitchen island is set to remain popular this year, but it is becoming a multi-functional hub rather than a simple centrepoint. Create a heart of your kitchen that’s functional yet stylish and, most importantly, sociable. You could add comfortable seating or wine storage, for example.
Don’t forget to have good lighting over your island. This makes a design statement while also setting the mood. Pendant lights, for instance, add warmth and help to define your space.
